Sausage Nacho Dip

Other twist on that boring cheese dip. Add a bit of pizzazz to this comfort food

Ingredients:

1 lb bulk garlic sausage, browned and drained

1 lb pasteurized processed cheese food, Mexican-flavored or plain, cut into cubes (Velveeta)

1 16-oz jar mild or medium-hot chunky style salsa

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Put the browned sausage, cheese and salsa in the slow cooker and stir to combine.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hours, or until the cheese has melted and the mixture is hot, stirring occasionally.
  3. Season the dip with salt and pepper to taste and stir again.
  4. Keep dip warm in slow cooker
