{"id":8,"date":"2013-06-25T19:05:00","date_gmt":"2013-06-26T01:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/deanasimmons.wordpress.com\/?p=8"},"modified":"2013-06-25T19:05:00","modified_gmt":"2013-06-26T01:05:00","slug":"chicken-kiev-casserole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southernladycooking.com\/?p=8","title":{"rendered":"Chicken Kiev Casserole"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>12 oz pkg wide egg noodles, uncooked<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 cup butter, softened<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon garlic powder<\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped<\/p>\n<p>1 deli roast chicken, cubed, divided and juices reserved<\/p>\n<p>2 cups frozen peas, thawed<\/p>\n<p>1 cup whipping cream<\/p>\n<p>paprika to taste<\/p>\n<p>extra fresh parsley<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cook noodles according to package and directions until just tender; drain and set aside. In a bowl, combine butter, garlic powder and parsley. Use one teaspoon of butter mixture to grease a 13&#8242; x 9&#8242; baking pan. Layer half the chicken, half the noodles and all the peas; dot with half the remaining butter mixture. Repeat layers with remaining chicken, noodles and butter mixture. Pour reserved chicken juices and cream over top; sprinkle with papka. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 minute,or until hot and bubble. Sprinkle with parsley.
