{"id":720,"date":"2014-02-20T09:35:42","date_gmt":"2014-02-20T15:35:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/deanasimmons.wordpress.com\/?p=720"},"modified":"2014-02-20T09:35:42","modified_gmt":"2014-02-20T15:35:42","slug":"bread-fresh-herb-topped-rolls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southernladycooking.com\/?p=720","title":{"rendered":"Bread &#8211; Fresh Herb-Topped Rolls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prep Time: 15 minutes<br \/>\nTotal Time: 1 hr 30 minutes<br \/>\nServings: 12<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon cornmeal<br \/>\n1 loaf (1 lb) frozen honey-wheat or white bread dough, thawed as directed on package<br \/>\n36 fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley leaves<br \/>\n1 egg<br \/>\n1 tablespoon water<\/p>\n<p>Directions<\/p>\n<p>Heat oven to 375\u00b0F. Grease cookie sheet with shortening or cooking spray; sprinkle with cornmeal. Divide thawed dough into 12 equal portions.<br \/>\nShape each portion of dough into a ball. Place rolls on cookie sheet. Spray sheet of plastic wrap with cooking spray; place sprayed side down over rolls. Cover with towel. Let rise in warm place 45 to 60 minutes or until doubled in size.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, place rinsed parsley leaves on paper towels; pat dry. With kitchen scissors, cut stems from leaves.<br \/>\nIn custard cup, beat egg and water with fork. Brush mixture over top of each roll. Dip parsley leaves into egg mixture; place 3 leaves on top of each roll. Brush remaining egg mixture over parsley-topped rolls.<br \/>\nBake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
