{"id":363,"date":"2013-07-05T15:30:37","date_gmt":"2013-07-05T21:30:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/deanasimmons.wordpress.com\/?p=363"},"modified":"2013-07-05T15:30:37","modified_gmt":"2013-07-05T21:30:37","slug":"chicken-and-linguine-in-creamy-tomato-sauce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southernladycooking.com\/?p=363","title":{"rendered":"Chicken and Linguine in Creamy Tomato Sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon olive oil<br \/>\n1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1\/2-inch strips<br \/>\n1 jar (1 pound 10 ounces) RAG\u00da\u00ae Old World Style\u00ae Pasta Sauce<br \/>\n2 cups water<br \/>\n8 ounces uncooked linguine or spaghetti<br \/>\n\u00bd cup whipping or heavy cream<br \/>\n1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil leaves <i>or<\/i>\u00a01\/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves, crushed<\/p>\n<p>Directions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In 12-inch skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown chicken. Remove chicken and set aside.<\/li>\n<li>In same skillet, stir in Pasta Sauce and water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Stir in uncooked linguine and return to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes or until linguine is tender.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Stir in cream and basil.
