Other twist on that boring cheese dip. Add a bit of pizzazz to this comfort food
Ingredients:
1 lb bulk garlic sausage, browned and drained
1 lb pasteurized processed cheese food, Mexican-flavored or plain, cut into cubes (Velveeta)
1 16-oz jar mild or medium-hot chunky style salsa
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Put the browned sausage, cheese and salsa in the slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hours, or until the cheese has melted and the mixture is hot, stirring occasionally.
- Season the dip with salt and pepper to taste and stir again.
- Keep dip warm in slow cooker
