Mexican Braid Loaf

This is a great dish that is like a sandwich. Serve it at a brunch or when you have the girls over.

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground turkey
10 oz can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can corn
2 loaves frozen bread dough, thawed
8 oz pkg. shredded Pepper Jack cheese
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
Brown turkey with onions over medium heat; drain.
Add tomatoes and corn to meat and continue to cook for about 5 minutes
Roll out each loaf of dough to 1/4″ thickness. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with lightly greased foil
Cut diagonal slits along each side of the dough, about one inch apart and 3 inches deep.
Place half of turkey mixture in center of each dough. Top each with half of cheese.
Fold sides of dough and pinch to seal
Pinch the three ropes together and being to braid folding the ends of the rope under.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden
Serves 16
Optional:
You can change the ingredients out to make a different taste. Just remember to drain because the liquid will not allow the bread to cook correctly. Avoid veggies that produce excess liquid.
